    The Queens Gallery on Ratchadamnoen Road

    Ratchadamnoen road is famous not only for its significance in Thai history, but also because of the attractions on and nearby this road. Within 5-10 minutes by car, you can get to many of Bangkok’s attractions such as Ratchadamnoen Boxing Stadium, Khaosarn road, the Grand Palace, Rattanakosin Exhibition Hall, and more.

    Of the attractions available, those of you who are art fanatics may want to stop by and visit “The Queen’s Gallery”. This 5-storey building covering a total of 3,700 square meters is home to many works of art by Thailand’s past, present, and up-coming artists. The Queen’s Gallery has permanent as well as rotating exhibitions all year round.

    Originally, the building was a branch of Bangkok Bank PCL. They hosted several competitions to support the Arts and Crafts Foundation that is under Royal Patronage. With money donated to the foundation and given to H.M. the Queen, she asked that the building be renovated and turned into a gallery using those funds. The gallery was named after her, and has been officially open since August 9th 2003. You can find The Queen’s Gallery at the end of Ratchadamnoen Klang road, nearby Phanfa Leelat Bridge, just across Mahakan Fort.

    How to get there

    The gallery is at the end of Ratchadamnoen Klang road, at the foot of Phanfa Leelat Bridge, just across Mahakan Fort. Drive down Ratchadamnoen Klang towards Ratchadamnoen Nok road.
